  My interview-article about  luthiers Augustino and Donna LoPrinzi appeared in 2007, Soundboard (Vol. 33, Nos. 3-4).  My article on “The Guitar Music of Alan Hovhaness” was published in 2012,  Soundboard  (Vol. 38, No. 3).  This subject was especially intriguing to me, as Hovhaness was a composer deeply interested in the music of Eastern Europe, India, and East Asia, and he also chose to write for the guitar.   Then,  in March, 2016, my article, “Building on Tradition,” about the Ramirez family of guitar builders from Spain, also appeared in Soundboard (Vol. 42 No. 1).
